Final weekly update - 3 weeks post partum


How far along? 3 weeks post partum. 

Total weight gain: -17 lbs!  (That’s 4 less than my pre-pregnancy weight).

Maternity clothes? Just for comfort.  I need to dig out my regular jeans, I had put all my warm(regular) clothes away.

Stretch marks? Ugh, no one tells you that they appear AFTER birth.  Boo.  I have a nice pattern of stripes under my belly button.  They are only noticeable in certain lighting, since there is no color difference.  But it’s still annoying – I was so proud of my lack of stretch marks! 

Sleep: Ha, we have a newborn.  Aaron has been a big help, so we’re each getting at least one long stretch of sleep/night (4 hours).

Best moment this week: Starting to finally get the nursery organized and decorated!

Miss Anything?  Once in a while I miss having my baby belly, but for the most part nope.

Movement: N/A

Food cravings: Is it random that I’m having more cravings now than I did when I was pregnant?  I cannot get enough chocolate!

Food aversions: Nothing specific

Gender: BOY!

Labor Signs: N/A

Symptoms: Giant swollen boobs?!  Holy smokes do they get HUGE and SORE.  I had no idea that my waist would shrink so fast, and these things would get so huge.  I look like I went to the hospital for a boob job, not a baby.

Belly Button in or out? Back in! 

Wedding rings on or off? Still on

Looking forward to: Finding out Aaden’s weight at his next Dr. Appt.  I’m also excited to start being able to work out again.  I miss running, and I can’t wait to start doing some crunches!  Luckily there isn’t a huge difference between my belly before baby and after baby – but some crunches will do wonders!
